Simple version: read everything in the browser, risk-free. Download the files and the purchase is final. Details below.
You have 30 days from your purchase date to request a refund. During that time you can read every lesson of the course in the browser, in full, with no risk. If it's not for you, email support@darkfactory.education from the purchasing account's email address and we'll refund the purchase in full.
Reading lessons in the browser never counts as consumption. But downloading the course build kits, templates, or the SpecWeaver tool files consumes the purchase, once you've downloaded a product file, that purchase is final.
Why: the downloadable files are the product. There's no way to "return" a file once it's on your machine. Downloads are logged per account and checked whenever a refund is requested.
If something is genuinely broken (a download that doesn't work, a purchase mistake, a double charge) email us. We'll sort it out. The download rule exists to stop people from downloading everything and then asking for a refund, not to punish honest problems.
The same 30-day window and the same download rule apply whichever way you paid. Only the return trip differs.
Card payments (Stripe): refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5-10 business days.
Crypto refunds are not automated. Once approved, we send the refund by hand from our wallet, in the same asset and on the same network you paid with, for the same token amount we received. The network fee on the return transfer is on us.
By default the refund goes to the wallet address the payment came from. If you want it sent somewhere else, confirm the address by email from the purchasing account's email address. Double-check any address you confirm: on-chain transfers cannot be reversed, and a transfer to a wrong address cannot be recovered.
Allow up to 10 business days after the refund is approved for the transfer to land.
